I'm Still Alive BTW and Oh I'm Gloating About Wimbledon

Oh!

I was finally dragged to check this blog since my ChinChin chummy Des asked if I have a blog. I gave her this link and warned her it isn't updated.
And Oh! 2011...year last entry published. I haven't really sat down to put my thoughts and opinions here. But it doesn't mean I haven't been exercising my mind. Actually, my mind's been put to the test a lot lately.

So what am I doing here?

Trying to revive a blogging career maybe? Oh I had one? Funny I could actually hear some people's thoughts.

So I'm racking my brain of what topic to talk about here. But the Wimbledon game's been distracting me. So I decided, the hell...I'm going to talk about Wimbledon. Not that it's the hottest national issue of concern at the moment but that because I just wish there's a Filipino player playing in the Wimbledon Championships as a Singles player. Philippines is actually well-represented by Treat Huey (his name doesn't sound Filipino but he is Filipino...trust me...or his papers at least.). But he's playing Doubles with Dominic Inglot of Great Britain. They're in the SEMIs now by the way.

So Huey and Inglot are going up against the number 1 doubles seed, the Bryans from US. It's going to be a tough match. But hey, anything could happen...and I really hope they could pull and upset. If only that's the way to show Filipinos could play lawn tennis too and be good at it.
If their pair wins the Doubles trophy. That'll be a big achievement for them...they are seeded 16th by the way. And beating the Bryans will require a lot of mental and physical effort.

So what's up with the gloating about the Wimbledon?

Just that I love tennis. It's such a shame there's not much Filipino athletes in Tennis. I know there has been attempts by Filipinos to break into the tennis. So far, Cecil Mamiit has been the most successful. But if we hope make get the Filipino youth interested in playing tennis then we need more Filipino tennis heroes.

Treat Huey's success might just be a trigger. Let's see. And yeah...it might not just my blogging career that's going to be revived maybe the interest in tennis among Filipinos may be revived as well.
